Note: The Zajac Ranch will welcome all medical needs and diagnoses and will work with your family to find a week that is the best fit for your child. If you do not see a camp that fits your child's needs, please call us to discuss registering your child in one of the above confirmed camps.
We are committed to ensuring that as many children as possible can experience the magic of summer camp, regardless of financial constraint. The Zajac Ranch for Children subsidizes over 50% of the cost of sending each child to camp, including all administrative fees. Additional Campership subsidies are donated by foundations, corporations, and individuals. Please fill out a Subsidy Request Form to apply for a Campership subsidy.
For more information, contact Megan Wilson, Zajac Ranch Registration Coordinator, at megan@zajacranch.com.
Registration
Campers are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Camper Registration forms must be submitted no later than 6 weeks prior to the camp session's start date. Once an application is received the camper is automatically put on a waitlist. Our Nursing Director reveiws Registration forms and accepts campers on an individual basis. You will be informed by mail whether the camper is accepted or not.
If you are unable to find a camp that fits your child's diagnosis, please send in a Registration form anyways. Our Nursing Director will recommend a camp where the other campers and activities planned match your child's needs.
Payment
Please submit payment with your Registraiton form. Your payment will be processed once your child is accepted. Should your child not be accepted your cheque will be mailed back to you.
Teens interested in Leadership Development
The Zajac Ranch is offering Leadership in Training programs at the camp again this year for teens of all abilities aged 16-17. Each program will give you a chance to improve your leadership skills and have fun, too! The Zajac LIT Program includes the chance to lead a camper campfire night and go on an overnight out-trip.
Leadership in Training 1 is for 16 year olds. It is a one week program running July 14-21, 2008, focusing on basic facilitation, program planning, team building, communication, resume building and interview skills.
Leadership in Training 2 is for teens that are 17 years of age. It is a two week program running August 1-14, 2008. This program is great for teens interested in becoming future camp counselors. Participants will have opportunities to experience activity leading, counseling and leadership techniques, as well as goal setting, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
