Congratulations, Don!
On November 2, 2008, Don Rutledge faced one of the most difficult challenges of his life: the ING New York City Marathon. He joined over 39,000 people - out of 100,000 who applied! - in running a 26.24 mile course through New York's five borroughs. Not only did Don succeed in completing this arduous race, he also raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Zajac Ranch for Children. And the donations are still coming!

Who is Don Rutledge?
NOT a professional runner..and until recently, not even an amateur runner! Before he started his ambitious training program, Don's family and friends considered him more likely to participate in an all-night party marathon than the New York City Marathon!
A longtime friend of the Zajac Foundation, Don Rutledge is the President of Arctic Enterprises. Don has worked in the hospitality industry associated with a number of restaurants, night clubs, and hotels.
For many years, he has been involved with the high-risk investment world and Open-Wheel Formula Car Racing Series. Don has supported a number of charities over the years, but has always favoured the Zajac Foundation, particularly becuase of the dedication Founder and Chairman Mel Zajac and his family have shown towards assisting people in need of all ages.
