Working at the Ranch

We are currently hiring for Ranger (Program Staff) and Wrangler (Cabin Counselor) positions for our 2010 summer camps! See above for application form. Click here for job descriptions.

You are not required to have experience working with children who have special medical needs, as we provide training before the summer camps start. There are also brief information sessions held before each camp session to ensure all staff are aware of each session's specific needs and behaviors. Training for all summer staff will start on June 16, 2010 at 4:00 pm. The camps begin on June 25th and end on August 26th. The last day of work for all staff will be August 27, 2010.

Volunteers

The Zajac Ranch for Children always accepts the donation of time and enthusiasm! Every summer many volunteers and counselors come to the Ranch to create a magical, fun experience for our campers. Volunteers play a major role in ensuring the success of the Zajac Ranch and providing camping opportunities for children with disabilities. Our volunteers assist in running programs and interacting with the children to assist our Counselors.

If you are able to attend a volunteer training day and commit to at least one camp session (3 - 7 days; click here for a schedule), you can volunteer as a Camp Counselor or Activity Specialist. To download our 2010 Summer Volunteer Application form click here.

We also need volunteers for a wide variety of tasks not related to working with the children, such as general clean-up, gardening, painting, helping with the horses, and general skilled labour.
