Frequently Asked Questions

The Zajac Ranch is a safe haven for your child to experience the joys and friendships of summer camp! By allowing your child to attend summer camp, you will expose them to a magical place where fun is around every corner, and the children surrounding them are going through similar situations.

For your child, it is a time to enjoy the waterfront, ropes course, archery range, campfires and lots of time to laugh and play. They will come home with a renewed sense of achievement and confidence after accomplishing new activities. Your child will also find a great sense of companionship at Zajac Ranch, after spending time with campers who look and feel the same as them. Campers build important friendships that will be a strong support for them, encouraging them to know they are not alone.

What kind of medical staff are involved with the Zajac Ranch?
At Zajac Ranch we seek to provide excellent medical care. We have a first-rate medical team to look after your child's medications and keep a close eye on them while they are with us. We also have a collaborative relationship with nurses and doctors from throughout the province, many of whom work at BC Children's Hospital, ensuring that we meet the medical requirements for our campers. Our on-site Medical Centre provides 24 hour care to campers.

We also have a dedicated team of carefully selected volunteers who will look after your child's daily needs and ensure that they enjoy their time with us.

What if my child has a medical emergency while at camp?
Our Medical Centre is equipped to handle immediate needs, though if there is an emergency, there is a hospital just 25 minutes away. Also, should your child need to be transported by air, we have an area available for helicopters to land.

What are the ages of the campers?
Campers range in age from 7 – 17 years.
